1956, signed and dated lower right; depicting ducks upon the Horicon Marsh, Wisconsin; in a rustic wood frame; accompanied by original gallery receipt and copy of a letter from the artist to the previous owner mentioning the painting specifically: ‘I well remember the oil painting you mention because the cloud background was one of my best’
