Jason D. Mowry US Model 1861 Contract .58 Caliber Percussion Black Powder Rifle Musket

1864, having 40-inch long round barrel, (3) barrel bands having matching marks, (2) sling swivels, tulip head ram rod and flip-up rear sight, lockplate marked with date, eagle and ‘US Jas D. Mowry Norwich Conn.’ with left side of barrel having inspection mark and butt plate marked ‘US’

Condition: Very Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; occasional light scuffs and scratches throughout; 0.5-inch area of white pigment transfer to underside near butt; occasional areas of discoloration to metal components throughout including very light stippling on barrel near breach; barrel bands having slight movement but still securely in place; 2-stage locking mechanism working when tested
