1847, signed and dated lower right, English School coastal genre scene depicting figures, animals, boats, distant cliffs and water, in an gilt gesso frame

Height: 24 1/2 inches, Width: 29 1/2 inches (sight)
Frame Size: 32 1/4 inches by 37 1/4 inches
Condition: Good, overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; occasional areas of possible inpainting but signature blacklights very well; 0.5-inch impact mark left of horse above cliff resulting in minimal pigment loss, lower left quadrant; faint stretcher marks throughout; areas of craquelure throughout with minimal lifting and no flaking; light dirt accumulation; moderate wear to frame including losses to florals / scrolling along right and top edges (including some fragments)
