Chinese Weapon Assortment
(3) items including shuang jian style twin double-edged daggers fitting in same polished ray skin and brass sheath; a single jian style double-edged dagger having (4) inlaid characters on one side and Longquan 7-star motif inlaid on both sides, having scabbard; and a dao style single-edged curved blade dagger having fuller on each side, with scabbard
Provenance: The Estate of George ‘Yorgo’ Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Condition: Very Good to Good, overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; light to moderate oxidation to blades; Longquan jian unsharpened, loose in handle, , wear to handle and scabbard including cracks and losses exposing wood core on both sides; shuang jian scabbard having loose portion of brass ornamentation and areas of finish loss to metal portions throughout; dao slightly loose in scabbard
