Ink and colors on silk mounted on stretched linen, depicting a seated male figure wearing a green and blue robe with black hat, a tiger pelt visible behind him, a ‘Yamanaka & Co’ label attributing the piece to the Ming Dynasty attached to the reverse, unframed
Provenance: The Estate of George ‘Yorgo’ Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000
