Hand carved from the Solomon Islands depicting ‘My Deus Odious’ having bone eyes and incised spiral ornamentation on chest

Provenance: The Estate of George ‘Yorgo’ Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Condition: Good, light to moderate wear; cracks to head, face and body not affecting integrity of piece; eyes missing pieces; square holes where arms should be; chips, finish wear, scratching
