French Portrait Miniature Assortment
(8) Victorian female portraits, arranged into (4) sets of frames attached to (2) velvet straps, each divided between the straps; a pair in hardwood frames and (3) pairs having decoration on pieced bone veneer tiles on wood frames; all having convex glass and decorative brass liners; (2) pairs retaining backing papers printed in French; together with a Victorian child portrait tinted photograph, behind glass in a gold-tone oval composition on wood frame having decorative metal mounts
Height: 5 3/4 inches, Width: 5 1/8 inches (largest miniature frame)
Condition: Very Good to Good, overall light to moderate wear consistent with normal use; occasional lifting of veneers; loss to paint surface upper edge, left of center; (2) bone veneer pairs having some loss to edge veneers; (2) veneer pieces detached from front of a frame from the third pair, one present; photograph frame having a chip to composition center left near glass
