Indigo dyed and woven wool ‘hinggi’ textile consisting of (2) mirror image panels stitched together vertically at center, having tapestry weave finish and fringe at both ends, a rampant lion motif borrowed from the Dutch East India Company as well as a monkey motif indigenous to the island of Sumba; stitched down on a fabric covered board having an acrylic box frame bearing the label of Viart Corporation Art Management, NY on reverse
