(4) items from the series ‘Great Performances: Contemporary Battledores’ published by Azumaya Daisuke in 1822, printed signature and kiwame censor seal; including portraits of actors in their signature roles printed in the shape of paddles, to be applied to ‘hagoita’ battledores; uniformly matted and framed behind glass
Height: 14 1/2 inches, Width: 9 1/2 inches
Frame Size: 26 inches by 16 1/2 inches
Condition: Very Good, all having a horizontal crease at midpoint; (3) having repairs to worm holes, left of center within image and right of image just above center; occasional light smudges and stains; one having Western script en verso, visible through sheet lower right; light wear to frames
