Mexican Guerrero Mezcala Stone Temple Model and Axe God
(2) c.300 BC to 100 AD southern Mexican items including a shallowly carved pale gray / green stone temple model having a highly stylized figure within the colonnaded opening above the narrow stairway, and surmounted by a stylized face, similar to an example at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and an axe god of similar colored hard stone; together with (2) custom metal display stands
Height: 5 7/8 inches, Width: 4 3/4 inches, Depth: 3/8 inches (temple model)
Condition: Very Good, abrasions and minor chips to left and lower edges, repair to corner below far left column of temple; chips to head and a foot of axe god; no other chips or cracks noted; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use
