Sevres Style Porcelain and Ormolu Urn with Lid
Late 19th-early 20th century, hand painted having a cobalt blue ground, signed ‘Guillon’; depicting an elaborate battle scene with canon, grenades, works, ranks of infantry and cavalry; having mounted French nobility at the forefront pursuing a mounted, armored figure; urn mounted on gilded bronze plinth; lid including gilded pine cone finial; underside of lid marked with a ‘D’ between interlocking ‘L’s atop an ‘S’ followed by five small dots
Height: 29 inches (with lid)
Condition: Very Good, lid appears to have been damaged and repaired; crazing throughout; some areas of light wear to the ormolu and gilding, especially where urn meets plinth; underside of lid having some chipping, cracking and bubbling to the finish
